About the show

The EveryMorning Quarterback show has always been about one thing: Fun. Entertainment is at the heart of sports, and the crew behind EMQ has a passion for all things football and entertaining the listeners.

The show started on the Champlain Wave, a college radio station, in 2007. It caught the attention of ESPN radio and was added to their Saturday morning lineup on WCAT 1390 shortly thereafter. From here, the show took on new life. Guests from around the sports world came pouring in, and the ESPN relationship blossomed. Names like Barry Melrose, Buster Olney, Doug Gottlieb, Thurman Thomas, Barrett Brooks, Ryen Russillo, and many more dialed in to contribute. EMQ was treated to a VIP tour of ESPN studios in 2010, and rubbed elbows with many behind the scenes during this unforgettable trip. The success led to a book launch on Amazon, a successful relationship with local HS and college athletics, and many unwarranted photo shoots.

The station was bought out by Fox Sports in 2011, and the EMQ launched a new show called "The Pregame" to fit the new Fox lineup. As show creator and host, Anthony, pursued his career in education... the show came to an end before 2012.

Brings us to now. Talking about sports with those close to us, and for the public was too missed. Like with any relaunch, there will be a retooling of the way things were; but rest assured the passion persists. The show has gone from all sports, to just a singular focus on football. With the rise of podcasts, the show can take on a more relaxed recording schedule, and even present more special opportunities to bring in more guests. We all have things we love to do, that are never considered work because of the joy it brings. We can say we're getting back to work, but we're really just getting back to the joy. It already feels like we never left.
